Allies, Women, And The Oppression Of A People

We have the greatest allies in the world. From staunch dictators to war criminals to theocratic monarchs we have successfully made friends with the world's social and political pariahs. A good example of this comes from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Earlier this week King Abdullah granted the female citizens of Saudi Arabia the right to vote in the next election in 2015. This is largely symbolic anyway since the country is ruled by a King and a vote for lower level politicians who seek the approval of the King is a far cry from democracy. Should we, the citizens of the world, take our wins where we can get them and stop complaining? Not in this case.

While giving women the right to vote is a step in the right direction, it is hardly going to make a difference in a country that closes its people off from news of the world. This country should have been overthrown in the "Arab Spring", but the grip on the media would make China proud.

Saudi Arabia is a country ruled by a monarch that uses religion to imprison its citizens in themselves. Giving women the right to vote doesn't really mean anything when a woman can be tried and convicted for the crime of driving. Driving! Let that soak in for a moment. At least the King was merciful enough to commute the sentence of 10 lashes.

There are two overarching problems here: a ruthless monarch is doing what he can to not lose his grip on the country and religion is such an oppressive entity that it can be used by said monarch to suppress the people in his country. Isn't that always the way? Religion as a form of control is something to has been seen throughout our (human) history. The only way to overcome these obstacles and progress as a species is to not only smash oppressive and non-democratic governments but to smash the foundations of religion itself. Religion has, is, and will continue to cause nothing but harm and strife. All in the name of god.

Terrorism, Religion, And Denialism

By now I am sure you have all heard of the tragic occurrence in Norway and the idiotic response to it. It should be very disturbing to the rest of the world of the coverage that this story is receiving. The media has either brushed over the fact that this guy, Anders Behring Breivik (because all crazy killers have three names), is a professed Christian carrying out a mission from God against Muslims or they have used this horrible act of terrorism (real terrorism, not the American label) to quash all debate on the effect of fundamentalist Islam on the world by draping it in the terms of fascism, racism, and religious bigotry.

The first thing that must be understood about Mr. Breivik is that he is a Christian no matter what Bill O'Reilly says (I will write further about the absolutely idiotic statements made by Mr. O'Reilly). He was motivated by the ideals of supremacy and infallibility that is ever present in not only Christianity but all religion. Religion gave him an outlet for his hatred. The second thing that must be understood about Mr. Breivik is that he is, if evidenced solely by his actions, a sociopath. He has shown no remorse for his actions. On the contrary; killing over 70 people seems to have been the highlight of his life. Couple that with his religious affiliation and motivation and we end up with the worst religiously-motivated killing by one person since Jim Jones and the massacre in Jonestown, Guyana.

There is another aspect of Mr. Breivik that seems to be glossed over in the media and that is his right-wing affiliations. It is understandable that the likes of News Corp would want to down play the right-wing connections of Mr. Breivik. After all, that would paint the right-wing in an unflattering light; as a group of gun-crazed Christian bigots. As it has been shown time and time again News Corp will try to shield the world from those truths about the right-wing. It is barely talked about that the camp that Mr. Breivik went on a rampage at was a summer camp for the socialist party. Socialists are always said to be violent lunatics but it always seems to be the socialists getting attacked by the right-wing.

It is this right-wing fascination with guns that aided in Mr. Breivik's rampage. The 30 round clips that he used were purchased from the United States. The lackluster weapon laws of the United States are as much to blame for this tragedy as the hateful rhetoric by the likes of Pamella Gellar at “Atlas Shrugs” (whose page I refuse to link to) who is just as sociopathic as Mr. Breivik. Hatred and weapons, brought to you by the good ol' US of A.

This denialism by the right-wing that Mr. Breivik was not a Christian and not right-wing is laughable. Even more laughable is the discussion going on by the talking heads at Fox News that even if Mr. Breivik is a Christian then that doesn't mean that all Christians should be painted as craven lunatics. Why didn't they apply the same standards when discussing how “Muslims are out to destroy the world”? That answer is pretty simple actually. That wouldn't fall into the ignorant narrative that is cooked up over at News Corp.

So where does the actions of Mr. Breivik leave us when it comes to discussion the role of multiculturalism in our society? As of now the issue of Islamic encroachment on western societies is a dead subject. It can't be discussed without anyone opposing multiculturalism being labeled as a racist (even though Islam is not a race) and a hate-monger that falls on the spectrum somewhere between Hitler and Pol Pot.

Here is the truth according to the Southern Atheist Gentleman:

-Multiculturalism is as bad as forcibly segregating people by race, creed, class, etc. It leads to ghettos and miniature states being established in different countries. Integration is the only way to move forward peaceably.

-Religion is a catalyst for the insane to become more extreme in their hatred for all things that are different or don't fit into a world-view that is outdated and false. Be it Islam, Christianity, or Wicca, religion brainwashes people into thinking they have the ultimated truth and they will make it to the imaginary castle in the sky while the non-believers fry.

-Right-wing believers are as bad as religionists: motivated by fear and ignorance.

-The gun laws in our country are as outdated as the world-view of religionists.

The Religion Of Peace Claims Another Victim

I would hate to see what Islam would be like if it wasn't the religion of peace. As the religion of peace they frequently kill people for being “un-Islamic”. Take the case of Jessica Mokdad who was killed by her stepfather because she didn't want to live in a house that followed Islam so strictly.

Torey said Mokdad had left her mother and stepfather to live with her father near Flint in Grand Blanc because she did not like their rules.

"He's a strict Muslim, she was more Americanized," Torey said.

She was 20 years old, more than old enough to decide where she wanted to live and what rules she wanted to follow. She was a goddamned adult! As with most religions women are not real people. No, they are only property which can be dominated and killed if they don't do as they are told.

Islam Indoctrination School In Winston-Salem, NC

When does being well-versed in nonsense become a good education? When the word “religious” is tacked onto it, of course. Winston-Salem has a group of Muslims from a mosque that want to start a private or charter school.

Charter schools are funded by the state with tax-payers money. Funding a strictly religious school with tax money would be a blatant violation of the separation clause, and we all know that federal law trumps any state law. There are some troubling aspects of this school that the mosque wants to set up though, like the fact that there are ways to circumvent the laws of charter schools. Oh, also the whole bit about brainwashing children and indoctrinating them into a religion of hatred and violence. You know, like any other religion.

Hey Christians, this is why there should be a strict separation of church and state. When the lines of separation are blurred, room is made for any particular brand of bullshit to become a state-funded institution.

There should be no religiously-ran schools. Period. Especially from a religion that teaches that all women should be subservient to men, no matter what, and that people that don’t buy into their fantasies are branded as infidels and are subject to death. Oh yeah, Islam is a religion of toleration and love though.

Islam is a lie just like any other religion. It is a made-up story from some illiterate desert nomad who had a propensity for child sex. Sounds like a great dogma to indoctrinate children in to.

CAIR: Appologizing For Obstruction Of Justice

As much as I hate to use Fox News as a reference for anything, I thought this story deserved some attention. It seems that our friends at the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) are sponsoring a conference that is meant to inform the Muslim community of their rights when it comes to the FBI. The conference is called “FBI Raids and Grand Jury Subpoenas: Know Your Rights and Defend Our Communities.”

I have no problem with educating a community on their rights. Here is what I do have a problem with.

The poster, which appeared on the website of CAIR’s California chapter, features a sinister-looking FBI agent with the headlines “Build a Wall of Resistance” and “Don’t Talk to the FBI.” The poster was designed in the late 1970s or early 1980s and has been reproduced by various groups and activists since then in response to alleged harassment by the FBI and to protest grand jury subpoenas.

You know how to make everyone think that you are doing something sinister? Put out a call for all of the members of your community to not talk to law enforcement. I have many problems with the law enforcement system in this country, but refusing to talk to them isn't going to help anyones cause. By encouraging a group of people not to talk to a law enforcement agency does nothing more than set them apart from the rest of the country that they supposedly love. We all have to abide by the same rules and laws no matter how stupid or ridiculous they are.

If someone feels they or their community is being singled out, then that is a issue for the courts. File a lawsuit and let the public know what is going on. Silence is not a good option though.

I don't buy for one minute the line from CAIR about not knowing about the content of the event and just being a sponsor. How many politicians and groups have been crucified in this country for sponsoring an event that had content that was less than flattering? It happens every year. I do not believe them for one second.

Come on CAIR, stop trying to bullshit people. You went from being a group that was actually fighting for the liberties of Muslims in America to a group that is apologizing for everything that happens in the Muslim community no matter how stupid it is.

Title Censored By Your Friendly Saudi Government

Saudi Arabia has enacted stringent new regulations forcing some bloggers to obtain government licenses and to strong-arm others into registering. In addition, all Saudi news blogs and electronic news sites will now be strictly licensed, required to “include the call to the religion of Islam” and to strictly abide by Islamic sharia law. Effective January 1st 2011 Blogs are classified as “electronic publishing” and news blogs (the term is not explicitly defined in the Saudi law) are now subject to the same legal regulations as newspapers.

The law specifies that under the regulations, any operators of news blogs, mobile phone content creators or operators of news sites in Saudi Arabia have to be Saudi citizens, at least 20 years old and possess a high school degree. That’s not all, detail in the new Saudi regulations is a provision requiring all news bloggers to provide the Saudi Arabian government with detailed information on their hosting company. This could easily allow the Saudi Arabian government to block access to a particular website across domains or to even force hosting companies to take dissidents' websites offline. This is a ridiculous case of oppression, in an effort to control everything they are now even reaching out to control the internet, that one free means exchange ideas of any one from any background could use to express their thoughts. Is now regulated and no longer free just a tool to push religion.

The scariest part of this is if can be done here it can be done anywhere. Even here in the US there is Senate bill 3480 the Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act of 2010 the bill will allow the president to order internet service providers to disconnect the American Internet from all traffic coming in from another foreign country. Does any one have any idea how hard it would be to turn the internet back on? Some financial networks could be out of service for awhile, a long while. That should help us all feel more safe and secure. I know I do.

The internet is not something to be toyed with it’s our one last true breath of freedom we as people have no matter where we come from. It should always be free. Never a tool used by any government for using citizens as your kingdom’s personal P.R. program or making people call to your religion against their will.

Some of you are still upset that the internet was unleashed to the masses. I think it was one of the most significant events in all of history. It has furthered education and communication into a realm some never would have though possible. Sure it has caused its fair amount of trouble but for those of us that respect it and understand how to use it, it has done far more good than bad. It’s a wonderful tool for furthering out own education and understanding of this world. It needs to remain the free world that it was intended to be.

Threatened By Somalia

A leader of Somalia's Islamist insurgency threatened to attack America during a broadcast speech.

"We tell the American President Barack Obama to embrace Islam before we come to his country," Fuad Mohamed "Shongole" Qalaf said Monday.

Well, I guess we should all get on that. I am surprised that the right-wing hasn't lost their mind about this yet. Isn't Obama supposed to be a Muslim already? I guess this would just be further proof that he isn't, and we know how the right-wing feels about proof.

Seriously, I think this threat should be taken seriously. We can make fun of Somalia all we want and ask questions like “How large is your Air Force” and all, but remember, it only took 19 dirt worshipers to take down the World Trade Center.

Muslims Plot To Kill Danish Newspaper Staff

The Muslims just won't quit about the goddamned cartoons that were posted in the Danish newspaper, the Jyllands-Posten in September 2005.

Danish and Swedish police said yesterday they had foiled a potentially devastating terrorist attack after arresting five suspected Islamic militants who wanted to "kill as many people as possible" in the offices of a Copenhagen newspaper that published cartoons of the Prophet Mohamed.

Denmark's intelligence service said it arrested four men in two raids in the suburbs of the capital and seized an automatic weapon, a silencer and live ammunition. Swedish police said they arrested the fifth suspect, a 37-year-old Swedish citizen of Tunisian origin who was living in Stockholm.

You've got to be kidding me. All of this over a cartoon of a old nomadic pedophile that happens to be worshiped by roughly 1.8 million morons. Someone draws a picture of this buffoon and the easily offended followers of the Religion of Peace plot to kill as many people at the office of the paper as possible.

You know what doesn't help the image of your religion? Shit like this. Islam is not a religion of peace, so why do we continue to treat it like it is? People should take note of this: the fundamentalists of any religion are out to silence anyone who doesn't believe like they do, especially when it comes to Islam.

The judiciary of Iran is a barbarous entity. The strict interpretation of Sharia law for any reason should send people screaming into the night. So it should come as no surprise that a man has been sentenced to having his hand amputated. His crime? He shoplifted from a candy shop.

Why is it that when someone follows a strict interpretation of any kind of religious law, some kind of body mutilation or the death penalty is issued for a either a minor infraction or something that isn’t a crime (i.e. apostasy)? How long are we going to continue lying to ourselves, claiming that ‘true Islam is a religion of peace’?

There is no such thing as a religion of peace. Any sort of religion that would condone cutting someone’s hand off or stoning to death (for that matter, the death penalty) should never be allowed to control anything.

Fake Threats And Real Fear At Fox News

Trying to find truth at Fox News is like trying to find a snow storm on the sun. Why anyone considers them a viable news source is beyond me. They have proven themselves to be nothing more than an extension of the Christian Right and the Republican Party: kind of like the Information Bureau in 1984. The disinformation and fear-mongering coming from this organization would be funny if so many people didn't buy into it. Just check out the headline of this article: “Why Did Media Ignore Threat of 'Flag of Islam' Flying Over the White House?” Well, this should be interesting.

The article is simply a delusional screed from an awfully terrified Republican that goes about actually believing that threats made by Islamic fundamentalists are actually going to happen. The author also wants to know why the sucky media didn't cover the story. To that I say “You wrote your article at Fox News. Your are the media, douchebag!” It always blows my mind when media figures say that the media is terrible and doesn't cover anything. It's like when Republicans talk about how terrible the government is and how it can't do anything right. “Hello! You are part of the government, douchebag!”

In the recounted tale of this cleric that said the “flag of Islam would fly over the White House”, the author makes a few interesting comparisons.

Across the oceans, radical Islamists would likely do as they did during the Koran burning episode or after the Danish cartoons were published. They would riot. Cars, businesses and maybe even embassies might burn. People might die.

I gather from this that Mr Gainor would prefer that the Christians in this nation should riot, burn buildings, and turn cars over when they don't get their way. If the Muslims in France can do it, then so should the Christians in America! Way to make your case. I think he is saying Christians are better because they don't do this, which if you look at the history of Christianity you will find a different story. Christian history is rife with violence, bloodshed, genocide, and pride about the previously mentioned acts. Maybe I am the crazy one though.

The idea that Christians don't use the same terminology is just wrong. What about the Billy Graham Crusade? What about Crusaders for Christ? Mr Gainor can't see past his own nose and realize that Muslims are saying the same things that Christians have been saying for a long time. Take for example:

According to Choudary, “Islam has a solution for all of the problems that mankind faces.” You don’t need to read between the lines to know what he was talking about.

Well, Mr. Gainor is right about one thing; you don't need to read between the lines on that statement. However, I would posit the question: How many preachers stand in the pulpit every Sunday morning and proclaim that Christianity is the only solution to the problems that mankind faces? They go even further and say that Jesus is going to come back and destroy the world! A loving god indeed.

This guy goes a little wacky by attacking Christiane Amanpour as being pro-Islamist, whatever the hell that is supposed to mean. I guess because she doesn't walk around the news set waving a Christian flag and reading from her Bible then she must be a secret agent of al-Qaeda. In my opinion, Christiane Amanpour is one of the most reliable people in the media. She reported on the Israeli incursion into Lebanon by giving the facts and putting a face on “the enemy”, not by singing the praises of how great Israel is. That, Mr Gainor, is called journalism, which is something that Fox News wouldn't know if it surrounded their building and started throwing eggs at it.

There are a few side points that this guy tries to sidetrack his readers with, like somehow turning this into a treatise on how the sucky liberal media is painting the Teabaggers as a group of morons. Well, they are what they are. However, if we were to judge an entire group by the actions of the extremists... well, I don't think I need to go on. What is funny about this is that in the same breath Mr. Gainor connects liberals and the media to Islam. Get a load of this gem.

If you laid all of the lefty/media attacks against the right end to end, they’d probably reach all the way to Mecca. Convenient that.

So, if you don't report the Republican talking points, then you are a Muslim, and therefor a terrorist. Also, if you don't think that the government should tell you who you can fuck, but would like your tax money to go towards something better than war (like, I dunno, healthcare?), then you are also a Muslim Terrorist.

Now, maybe this guy can explain the aforementioned Billy Graham Crusade, The Crusaders for Christ, and how he is not using terrorist tactics by trying to scare the hell out of everyone who reads his brain vomit (and I use the term brain loosely). Take the point that he made about Jihad al-Islami and use the logic as applied to Billy Graham, etc. I know, Christians don't like when facts are pointed out.

What is amazing to me is that when he mentions the plot that was uncovered in France, he only mentions the stock prices of the airlines. True to Republican form, always looking out for the business above the people. This was actually a real terror cell that was caught before they could do any harm. No fear mongering, just the truth. And yes, people could have died. However, the stock prices of the airlines are what this jerk cares about.

In the end, Mr Gainor poses a question that I would like to try to answer.

Finally, how many terror attacks will it take before the media stop blaming America and start blaming radical Islam? The sad answer is: too many.

Well, that depends. When will America start seeing the republican party for what it is: a group of old white racist assholes who are more interested in stock prices and their bottom dollar than they are about their fellow human beings? The sad answer: probably when its too late.

Never would I defend Islam, but I think it is important to point out the similarities.

What's All The Fuss?

Randolph A. Heine, the man that owns the land that the Dove Ministries is using to advertise their “Burn A Koran” day says he doesn’t know why people are so upset. “I don’t see what all the fuss is about”, he says.

Heine said he hasn't had a good relationship with the mosque next door to his property, the Hoda Center Academy and has a general mistrust of Islam. He said he doesn't support the plan to burn the book but vehemently supports the church's right to do it.

"He has the right to symbolically protest Muslims, so I don't know what the big fuss is," he said of Jones. "You have to stand by him if you're an American."

I agree, the church has the first amendment right to burn as many Korans as they please. It is as American as apple pie, burning the American flag, protesting soldiers funerals, and building an Islamic community center in New York City.

This church does not have the right to burn these Korans, however, because the fire marshal said no. It is against the law. First amendment rights must be protected, even when we don’t agree with them, but the law must also be respected, which is supposedly an American virtue.

I do not think for one second that Mr. Heine doesn’t know “what all the fuss is about.” Of course he knows, but it is his right to be a moron.

American Sharia

The idea of Sharia law makes my stomach turn and by head get dizzy. Images of people getting their hands chopped off and women having their faces disfigured with acid run through my mind in waves of nausea. So, when I hear someone making the case to incorporate Sharia law into the American judicial system, my involuntary reaction is to scream, get angry, and spit on the ground.

Dr. Gene Davenport, Professor Emeritus of Religion at Lambuth University thinks that a weak version of Sharia law should be incorporated to help relieve the strain on the judicial system by allowing certain judgments to be given by Sharia courts.

The acceptance of Sharia courts in this country's legal system would not be without precedent. In some parts of the country Jewish courts (Beth Din) arbitrate in matters of small claims and millions of dollars, employee-employer disputes, breach of contract, inheritance, and matrimonial disputes. Such courts serve, in other words, as arbitration courts, the decisions of which are recognized by the secular courts as long as those decisions are in keeping with the Constitution and with the laws of the state in which the religious court resides. And decisions in religious courts always can be challenged in state courts.

First of all, I know about the Jewish courts and I think that they have made it possible for any religious group to have their own courts. I think it is disgusting. I do not care how overburdened the judicial system is. One way to free up a lot of the case load of the courts would be to legalize drugs, but that is a different story. The idea of allowing even a watered-down version of Sharia law, like England has, is wretched, disgusting, and stupid.

Arguments over mosques and their location in reference to a hole in the ground are diverting our attention away from real problems, like incorporating Sharia courts into the judicial system. I do not care what your religion says you should do or what laws you should live by. This is a country of laws, SECULAR LAWS.

Even various Christian denominations have arbitration systems that are recognized by the secular courts. In some denominations, if a group decides to break away from the denomination, the ownership of the church property is determined by church law and is recognized by the secular courts. (And one hesitates to mention the numerous courts on television such as that of Judge Judy.)

How does Judge Judy, and actual judge, compare in any way to religious courts? I admit that I am not a fan of parading the judicial system on TV like some sort of sideshow at the circus, but that doesn’t mean it should be compared to any kind of religious court. The last time I checked, as vile a person as Judge Judy may be, she still upholds the secular laws of this country. Also, respecting property rights is not a religious idea. I am fairly sure that property rights are part of the secular laws of this country.

In light of the attitudes of the majority of Muslims in this country today, it might be expected that the interpretation of Sharia in their courts would be enlightened, just and reflective of Western attitudes and values. Such courts certainly would relieve the current case overload in the secular courts.

You know what else would be enlightening? Having everyone that lives in this country abide by the laws of this country. It doesn’t matter if you worship the Sun, Jesus, or a pile of dirt, you are under the jurisdiction of the United States of America, not the Theocratic Kingdom of America. Saying that there are certain interpretations of Sharia law that would be reflective of western values is the same as saying that there are certain interpretations of the anarchist cookbook that are reflective of a dictatorship.

If you water down Sharia to any point, it is still a religious code that will apply to only a certain group of people. That is not what this country is about. That is why we don’t have Ten Commandment Courts. So remember this, all of you slack-jawed morons out there who think that we need no separation of church and state. Without the separation, there are going to be idiotic things like “liberal” Sharia, Jewish Law, Christian Law, etc. that are going to be absorbed little-by-little into the justice system. At that point, we can just change the name to the Injustice Department and give in to whatever theocratic dictator comes to prominence.

Sharia =/= Secular Values.

Islam In TN? Not For This Guy.

Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey (R, TN.) has a new interpretation of the First Amendment. His problem isn’t really a problem for him, just all of the Muslims in this country. The Lt. Gov. doesn’t think that Islam is protected by the First Amendment because he doesn’t see Islam as a religion. I’ll let him explain his position.

"Now, you could even argue whether being a Muslim is actually a religion, or is it a nationality, way of life, cult whatever you want to call it," Ramsey said. "Now certainly we do protect our religions, but at the same time this is something we are going to have to face."

No, no you can’t argue that. Islam is a religion. It is as much as a religion as Christianity, with the same ridiculous trappings, séances, rituals, and dogmatic beliefs. It is not a nationality. I would agree that it is a cult, just like I agree that Christianity, Judaism, and Hinduism are cults. What the Lt. Gov. is saying is that “Now certainly we do protect our religions, as long as we are defining the term “religions” as the separate denominations of Christianity. And the Jews can practice too, I guess.”

The idiocy spewing out of Tennessee is undoubtedly the result of the plan to build a Muslim community center in Murfreesboro, TN. The town already has a mosque, so the issue revolves around the community center.

You know, I actually agree with the Lt. Gov. here. If Muslims are trying to impose Sharia Law onto anyone living in the US, then they should themselves be jailed for trying to subvert the Constitution. The same goes for any Christian or Jewish group that would attempt to impose the Ten Commandments as the law of the land. So yes, if that were happening, I would support the Lt. Gov. in his fight against Sharia Law.

One problem with this is that there is no indication that this community center is going to become the seat of the Great Sharia Court of Murfreesboro, TN. The First Amendment allows anyone to practice their religion. That freedom stops (supposedly) when it begins to interfere with the constitutional rights of others. Just as Christians are allowed to practice their particular brand of bullshit, so are Muslims, Hindus, Jews, etc.

Another problem is that the First Amendment actually does apply to cults. Look at Scientology, the Mormons, Wiccans, Satanists, Jehovah’s Witnesses, etc. All are allowed to practice freely in this country.

I do not agree with any religion. I think the world would be a better place without the existence of narrow-minded bigots that seem to fill the pews on Sundays, the prayer rugs on Fridays, and the Temples on Saturdays. However, the First Amendment allows for freedom of religion. Just because you don’t agree with someones invisible god doesn’t mean you can stop them from worshiping said invisible sky daddy. If anyone is willing to say Muslims can’t build their community centers where they please, just like every other religion is allowed, then be prepared for your religion, or lack of religion, to be next.

Islam Killed This Man

In what can only be described as a heart-breaking case, a Maldivian man named Ismail Mohamed Didi committed suicide on Tuesday by hanging himself from a Male` Air Traffic Control Tower in The Maldives. The reason is because he was bullied for being an atheist.

Didi had attempted to gain asylum in the UK because he feared for his life. See, in a Muslim country, atheists aren't tolerated. Of course, some people had a problem with this, but not for the reasons you would think most sane people would have.

“This is an issue that a Muslim government should consider,” the website said. “Because when these types of people die, they are buried in the same [cemetery] where Muslims are buried. Their funeral prayers and body washing are also conducted as for Muslims. It is questionable as to whether this is allowed according to Islam.”

Instead of being concerned with people who are “apostates” being treated like crap, threatened, bullied, and killed, these people (and I do use that term loosely) are concerned with him being buried with Muslims.

That's not all! When the ATC company that Didi worked for found out he was an atheist (he inadvertently came out at work), they referred the case to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. Of course, they found that he wasn't spreading an atheistic message and a representative of the ATC company said no one had ever said anything bad to or about Didi.

The religion of peace in action once again. I am sure he wasn't mistreated. Those death threats and the harassment that Didi spoke of in his letter to an international humanitarian organization were just figments of his imagination that drove him to suicide.

If you decide to read the entire article, I would recommend staying away from the comments, as their stupidity and monstrous nature will make your brain bleed.

Not Earthquakes, Suntans!

I wish Iran would make up their mind. First, they say that the problem is women who dress immodestly. Now, Police Chief Hossien Sajedinia is saying that the problem is women with... suntans!

I am not sure this guy actually lives in Iran. Does he not know that Persian women are brown? Obviously not. Check out this gem.

The public expects us to act firmly and swiftly if we see any social misbehavior by women, and men, who defy our Islamic values. In some areas of north Tehran we can see many suntanned women and young girls who look like walking mannequins. We are not going to tolerate this situation and will first warn those found in this manner and then arrest and imprison them.

Dude, you are going to arrest and imprison women for having a tan? Just admit it. The hot women are making you think "impure" thoughts, not that there is such a thing. So, instead of just dealing with the fact that we are human and are attracted to one another, your answer is to imprison women who are tanned?

I can tell you one thing from this guys statement: Islamic values are stupid.

Another Reason For Muslims To Rape And Kill Women

Have you wondered why there have been a lot of earthquakes lately? Iranian Cleric Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi has. He thinks he has found the answer.

"Many women who do not dress modestly ... lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes."

Oh, well that make sense... if you are a 7th century addle-pate following a idiotic religion.

This is (one of) the problem(s) with religion in general and Islam in specific. You take a group of sexually repressed men and let them control over a billion people. Add some homophobia and repressed homosexual tendencies and you get Islam!

This is going to be used as just another excuse to rape and murder women... anywhere. Women are already considered the cause of their rape and/or murder in this bearded dog of a religion. Just another reason to hate women I guess. Not only do they cause people to rape them by showing their wrists, but now they are causing earthquakes.
