Religion Grows Into Sectarianism In Zimbabwe

A rift has developed in a Zimbabwean church over two sects of the Mudzimu Unoera Apostolic Faith. This church has broken into the sect of the board of directors and the “girl Jesus”. They call her the “girl Jesus” because she resembles the founder of the religion and fulfilled the prophecy that the leader would be reborn after three years.

"That is why we decided to split because the other faction still awaits the
resurrection of the old Dzangare which means they did not understand the
teachings of the founder," said Mr Mupura.

Sound like anything else? Maybe like Judaism and Christianity? Or any other religion with their sectarian fighting? How long are we going to continue killing eachother over whose imaginary friend is better?
